More fun times with Miss Ava.
We had tons of snow last week. I think a total of 8 inches or so.
Miss A doesn't like being cold, but she sure likes looking at the snow.
This is a blog about our family. Mostly about our daughters adventure into the world and now her experience in the world and about her growing up.

A Thanksgiving Adventure
On Thanksgiving. Ava and I took a drive. We drove out to Pyramid Lake, and out to Wadsworth Nevada.
Ava enjoys adventures. We go on them as often as we can!

Photo session with the girl.
Yesterday a good friend and fellow colleague Vanessa S. took Ava and I out to the desert to do a mother daughter shoot.
I love what she got!
Ava had fun playing in the mud/ice and had lots of fun picking up rocks to bring back to dad.
Its not often as a photographer that I step in front of the camera.
I have the same worries that most other women do. I need to wait until I lose weight, etc etc etc. But the truth is, Ava will only be 4 for a little while longer. I may not lose the weight I want before she turns 5.
I'm very very thankful I stepped way out of my comfort zone and got these done.

Ava the Character
By now, I'm sure you've seen or heard or read that Ava is quite the character.
She has really stepped up her game in the past couple of weeks.
Imagination running wild, crazy stories spewing from her tiny little mouth.
No idea where she comes up with her material.
Part of me wants to know what her brain is thinking about, another part of me is scared to death and wants to run the other way, afraid of being lost in some translucent world of magical fairies, flowers, mermaids and zombies and an assortment of animal friends.
We've had a fun sort of month. Ok. So the first two weeks were absolutely crazy with my dad just out of the hospital and off on another trip with his girlfriends and finding out Phil's dad is in the hospital (we spent a greater portion or our two weeks at the hospital). The best thing that came from that event was that well...1) Ava and I got to meet Phil's Grandmother and 2) Phil's dad woke up!
But since that fine event we've had an interesting month.
Ava stepped up her game with her imagination and also her expression and usage of words.
Here are some pictures from this month.

The Ava Adventure continues....
Ava has always been a spunky child. Full of life, love and laughter. Her jokes make her dad and I laugh for days.
Ava has a crazy imagination. The stories she tells us would make for great children's books.
Her favorite movies as of right now are Rapunzel and Little Mermaid.
Favorite food- noodles with butter, pizza, mac and cheese out of the blue box, salad, gold fish and angry bird graham crackers.
Some of her favorite activities are: hiking, playing in the dirt, dressing up, pretend play, walking and playing at the park.
She is 29 lbs (FINALLY)!!!
She makes friends wherever she goes. I love that about her but it also scares me. She still loves to read.

Biking Adventures
Bike riding for a 4 year old can be a bit of a challenge. There is the peddling, steering, looking a head, etc.
So doing some photo journaling of a 4 year old attempting to bike can be a bit of a crack up.
First- get on the bike
Second- the peddles just aren't moving the way they should, so jump off and check them out.
Third- hop back on and try again
Fourth- 5 minute max out on focus and jump off the bike to run after pretend babies that are crying
Fifth- Re-directed attention back to the task at hand and hope back on the bike...
Sixth- repeat steps one through four. :)
Enjoy!
