Its almost been a month!
I only have time for a quick update but I just wanted to write a few things down so we don't forget whats happening in Ava's life.
Ava has been crawling for a while now. She pulls herself up on anything and everything. She can also walk along the couch, crib or coffee table if she is holding on.
This week her language is developing. She can now say "Mama" and "Dada" and she can associate them with me and Phil. She also says something that sounds very similar to "what?" and "I got it" and "Oh no". She has also mastered "Bob" and "Beck".
Last week Ava got sick. She did eat solid food for 5 days! It was so scary! She is much much better now and I'm not sure if she is making up for lost time but she ate 8-9 jars of baby food yesterday and that is not including the oatmeal my parents made for her. She is a little eater!
Ava gives kisses. She loves to kiss on the mouth though.
Ava had her dedication on Mother's Day. Her dedication was a church. Me and Ava (and 8 other families) went to the front of the room and the pastor said a prayer. It was a nice service.
Also Ava had her 9 month check up Monday May 3. Ava is 25 inches long and 13.3 lbs. Ava isn't on the growth charts at the moment. I think her weight had something to do with the fact that she was sick for three days before her appointment and she didn't eat anything for three days at that point. Ava has another appointment this upcoming Friday.
Ava started going to my friends house one day a week. My friend has three kids and Ava loves being around other people more her size! She loves it over there! I've also noticed that Ava talks more but maybe that just a stage in her development.
Ava makes all kinds of neat projects while she is over there! She does finger paint and toe paint and hand prints and clay imprints of her feet. Its fun!
